Our story
Sheila has always been an avid reader and writer. Growing up on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country left plenty of time for both, and she had her first poem published in a national magazine when she was just sixteen. She began her professional writing career developing screenplays for an independent production company based at Pinewood Studios in the U.K. This was a wonderful proving ground for Sheila to develop her craft.
In the following years Sheila wrote several scripts for film and television specializing in dialogue and character development. Most notable of these were for the BBC (Slim Pig) and for the Family Channel (Hidden City). This last project saw Sheila as part of a team where she wrote, edited and refined screenplays for the opening season in South Africa. She also adapted Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World for Columbia Pictures at this time.
